Just, how does he do it?*

For those of you that don't know,I'm from Yorkshire and not so long ago it was Yorkshire Day, a day in which all us Yorkshire folk celebrate all things... well, Yorkshire! Now, I bet your thinking what's to celebrate about brass bands, flat caps, whippet racing, Yorkshire puddings, ferrets & coal mining? Well, allow me to take your attention away from the, nowadays, rather inaccurate stereotypes us Yorkshire folk get labelled with and join me on a journey, each week, to look at some familiar faces who have come from " God's own county" and have cemented their place in the public eye and all in all have done us proud!

The first person I have to mention, purely for my obsessive watching of his videos recently and his, how to put it? Surreal, tricks and stunts, is Dynamo! Dynamo is, in my opinion, hands down, one of Britain's best ever magicians! Coming from Bradford (West Yorkshire) he's amazed audiences up and down the country for several years now and has left countless more asking "just how does he do it?". Dynamo is also now the face of Pepsi's #LIVEFORNOW campaign, as like Pepsi, Dynamo has "this passion for living for the now and making every day exhilarating."

All in all, I think Dynamo is more than deserving to be a reason that I'm proud to be from Yorkshire, he proves in more ways than one that anything is possible (Remember him levitating at the side of a double-decker bus for Pepsi Max anyone?!)

Check out Dynamo doing his thing for Pepsi, in an up close, amazing magic encounter with rapper Amplify Dot!

Travelling light? Bargain holiday haircare!

We all know the damage heat and humidity can do to your hair, it doesn't even matter where this heat comes from, whether it be from natural or artificial sources, indoors or outdoors, it all slowly but surely destroys your hair. Now, since it's the vacation season, I thought I'd tell you about the bargain travel sized 'miracle' hair products I found whilst, once again, scouring Poundland!

LIEBSTER AWARD!!!

I've been nominated for the LIEBSTER award by the amazing (and obviously very forgiving for my absence!) Carolyn, a.k.a brunette-wavez ! Now, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited by being nominated. This is all really new to me and I'm beyond grateful that you Carolyn have checked out my blog, especially due to the quality of yours, so thank you!

Here's a bit of a low-down on just what the LIEBSTER award is:

1. Answer the 11 questions your tagger has asked you.
2. Choose 11 more blogs with less than 200 followers, no tag-backing! You must also give your tagger     a shoutout as a thanks.
3. Ask your 11 chosen bloggers 11 new questions of your choosing ( questions & bloggers at the            bottom of the post)
4. Contact your chosen blogger to let them know they've been chosen.

Now onto the questions I was asked...

I can explain!

Look, a giant giraffe took me hostage and refused to release me until I retrieved the golden leaf of I'm easily distracted land! Seriously though, I'm sorry I abandoned my blog for a little while. Especially after saying I'd only be absent for a couple of days which was a big smelly pork pie entirely due to my own laziness and lack of motivation ( as well as another holiday!). But anyway, now that apology is out of the way, blogging will resume (hopefully) on a daily basis! Starting tomorrow I swear!

Once again, I'm so sorry!

So what's new in nail art?

Surely, I can't be  the only one to notice that there seems to be a new "nail effects" product hit the high street every single week! Whether it's nail pens, scented or even magnetic polishes, the nail art section of every brand seems to be expanding rapidly and their products are becoming ever more desired among shoppers.
Boots' SEVENTEEN range is no different, in fact, if anything they're leading the nail effect revolution! Whilst browsing around on Saturday I came across SEVENTEEN'S Off The Wall Graffiti Nail Effects, now as we all know with Boots, they can't seem to get into their heads that nail colour testing is just as important as foundation and concealer testing, so it's fair to say this was a impulse (hope for the best) buy!

Kiss goodbye to your spots for only £1!

I bet you're starting to think I'm some sort of Poundland obsessive... Well actually, I suppose I kind of am, as of late. However, with good reason! Now, I don't know whether you're aware, but recently the vast majority of Poundlands/worlds/stores have, for some reason, started stocking some extremely popular beauty brands such as make-up products from: Rimmel, Collection 2000 & Sally Hansen, but a few days ago, another big named brand caught my eye.

Neutrogena is a skincare brand we've all heard of and have likely to have tried out at some point. Renown for helping with the war against spots & acne, their products usually pack a rather hefty price tag, which is extremely off putting especially considering their products aren't even guaranteed to work! This is why I was shocked to see 2 of Neutrogena's best-sellers from their visibly clear range nestled among the skincare section in Poundland.

Do you daretodip ?

The Summer months are upon us (Although it's currently chucking it down with rain outside so I personally beg to differ!) Either way Summer means one thing, it's time to don the bikini and go chasing the sun!  Now, whether you're hitting the coast to catch some rays or if you're lucky enough to be jetting off abroad, your first swimsuit appearance of the year can be extremely daunting! This is where Nivea UK come in. The lovely people at Nivea are looking to ease your costume concerns and erase your tankini terrors as part of their daretodip campaign, which helps you get fully prepared to take take that first plunge!

DIY of the day!

I am the most unlucky person ever when it comes to earphones! I just can't seem to find a pair that will last any longer than 3 weeks. The only pair I've ever had that have withstood the excessive battering I give them, are the original, bland, white iPod headphones that you get with your device.

Despite them being strong, due to the constant tumbleweeding in my college bag, they're forever getting tangled ( the second bane of my life after my mammoth hair knots, see the pattern?!) and well, after spending some time scouring the internet for ideas on how to prevent the constant tangling, I came across Free Peoples wrapped earphones for $40... yes, that's $40 (£25 ish) for some earphones with a bit of wool wrapped around them! No me gusta! So, as per usual I thought, I could do that and here's what I did...

£1 Tangle Teezer alternative!

Here in my town we're "blessed" to have 3 Pound shops (As well as 5 Greggs bakeries, but that's a story for another day!) Anyway, recently on a stroll around the biggest of the 3 shops, I came across what looked to be a small plastic horse grooming brush. However, since it was among the entirely human hair care items, I knew this wasn't the actual case!

On closer inspection I soon realised this was the budget version of the much raved about Tangle Teezer called Tangle Attack. People must have deemed me mad when I decided to buy one, but as I have almost semi-Rapunzel hair,I was willing to try anything to conquer the mammoth sized knots I get!

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't confused...

I've always thought that blogging is something I needed to do. This have sprouted from the amount of inspiration I gain from people's blogs on here. It's almost like a whole new world ( No Aladdin pun intended... well, actually there was!)

Anyway, I'd like to make it clear that I have no idea what I'm doing. But let's give it a bash eh?! I mean I don't even know what I'll be posting on here. Make-up reviews? Gig/album reviews? DIY projects? Who knows?!
